I'm a Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) Specialist with a holistic approach to Search Engine Marketing (SEM); that means I look at the whole picture and advise businesses on how to be more visible on the Search Engine Result Page (SERP).

My approach to Keyword Research is different from most SEOs – I provide some details on that here, where you can read about Query Needs Analysis.

I use a whole host of SEO Tools that you are welcome to take a look at.

In my dayjob I am Head of SEO at Kendskab, a digital marketing bureau in Silkeborg, Denmark.

I love discussing SEO and you are more than welcome to contact me for a chat about Search Engines or random banter.

I want to get started with SEO, what do?

My advice for beginners is:

  1. Start your own website, doesn't matter what kind, like, try and build one like this! I personally use for hosting because the customer service is great.
  2. Set up Google Search Console and monitor like once a month for issues.
  3. You will want a tool of sorts, for beginners or part-time SEOs, I recommend Morningscore.

And that's about it, for getting started at least. I advice against getting all the tools or installing too many plugins etc. Keep it simple at first and once you're comfortable with editing your own website, I'd look at others!
